About the SCRS Diversity Awareness Program
Launched in 2016, the Diversity Awareness Program was initiated to assess issues pertaining to recruiting diverse patient populations in clinical trials. Through this program, SCRS has worked with several industry partners and clinical research sites to conduct proprietary research and develop resources to strengthen research site preparedness for more diverse patient engagement. The work of this group has gained industry, government, regulatory, and site support and will continue to lead to a better understanding of best practices of sites in working with diverse populations.
